Perspective - The beginning in your quest for peace, health and happiness. Adopting the right mindset is the single most important Peace Benefit because how you view yourself, your circumstances and others is the foundation that ultimately determines your level of success in mastering all other the Peace Benefits Principles.
Environment – Your highest level of peace, health and happiness can only be achieved by placing yourself in the ideal surroundings with people who enable and support your personal growth and improvement.
Appreciation – Learning to identify the three different types of appreciation in your life will take you to unprecedented levels of personal growth and peace.
Career – Studies suggest that many people are dissatisfied and unhappy with their current job. Life is too short not to be happy and fulfilled in your work. Learn how to master the 5 keys to successfully choose the right job for you.
Education – Becoming a life-long learner is a necessity for your life to continue being exciting, interesting, productive and fulfilling. As John Truslow Adams once said, “There are two types of educations. One should teach us how to make a living and the other how to live.”
Balance – The single most often overlooked, misplaced and forgotten Peace Benefit. Until you learn how, what and when to say “no,” and what needs to be reduced or let go, you’ll never experience a life of ultimate peace.
Exercise – According to the CDC, over 75% of Americans don’t get the recommended amount of exercise. The people who do exercise regularly look and feel better, suffer from less sickness and disease, are psychologically healthier, have greater balance in their life, are happier and make more money.
Nutrition – The second most important thing after what you feed your mind is what you feed your body. It’s impossible to look and feel your absolute best until you learn how to fuel your body with quality foods in the right quantities.
Evolve – You ultimately become the best version of yourself through gradually developing into a more complex and complete person. This is not possible without having an awareness and understanding of your Emotional Intelligence. Improving your Emotional Intelligence (EI) will help you communicate more effectively, lead to more fulfilling relationships, and improve your coping and decision-making skills.
Faith – This one Peace Benefits principle trumps all others. Faith is defined as a strong belief, complete trust, and confidence in someone or something. Faith in yourself is great. Faith in God is greater. Faith in God and yourself is the greatest. There is no substitute for learning how to exercise Godly wisdom and discernment with the most important decisions in your life.
Income – For the majority of people learning how to earn, manage, spend and save money is an ongoing lifetime requirement. Money should be viewed as a tool. When used properly, it can provide opportunity, education, training, support and assistance to you, your family and countless other businesses and organizations that serve others around the world. For all the good money can do when used properly, it’s also responsible for much of the world’s havoc, destruction, corruption, violence, injustice and death.
Time - The single greatest resource that we all have the same amount of, no matter your position in life. Your time will determine the outcome for your life. Anything you ever do will require your time, and once it’s gone you can never get it back. You can tell everything you need to know about a person by how they spend their time and money.
Security – The sum total of learning how to master the other twelve Peace Benefits principles. This is the best method to obtaining the ultimate level of peace, health and happiness in your life.
I'm a Holistic Wellness Coach, Certified Behavior Change Specialist, and Certified Personal Trainer who helps my clients change mindsets to change their behaviors and bodies. I've worked in the health wellness industry for over thirty years and I'm passionate about coaching people to think, feel, and look their best. I got my professional start in 1988, while serving as the Base Fitness Advisor for Reese Air Force Base in Texas. During my time in the Air Force, I conducted fitness assessment testing, oversaw the weight management program, and performed personal training, for pilots, military personnel, and their dependents.
After leaving the Air Force in 1992, I spent the next 27 years working in the health and fitness industry. During this time I opened and operated health clubs in several states, worked for some of the finest commercial fitness equipment brands, consulted and designed hundreds of fitness centers across the country, and managed key accounts while working for the largest commercial fitness equipment dealer in America.
I launched Peace Benefits amid the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020, with a focus on helping people in several key areas: emotional intelligence testing and training, personal training, nutrition coaching, and holistic wellness life coaching. I utilize the Peace Benefits Dimensions of Wellness Model, which I developed after realizing there was a universal need for a more comprehensive model in helping people improve in all dimensions of wellness to enhance their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I work with people from all backgrounds and ages, but my sweet spot is helping men between the ages of 40-60 to train their bodies and minds to preserve their health and fitness, while aging as gracefully as possible. My methods are science based, tested, tried, and proven over many years. Regardless of where you're at now, I'm committed to helping you reach your goals.
I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Wayland Baptist University, a Master's Degree in Public Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University. I’m a Certified Life, Nutrition, and Career Transitions Coach, a Certified Personal Trainer, and a Certified Behavior Change Specialist. I'm also trained and certified in the Emotional Quotient-Inventory EQ-i 2.0®, the world’s leading assessment tool used for evaluating and measuring emotional and social intelligence. I'm a former competitive bodybuilder, and won several titles in the 1990s, culminating with winning the middleweight division at the 1994 Mid-USA Championships.
I offer a comprehensive anti-aging, body sculpting, whole foods nutrition, positive mindset, and healthy lifestyle video course called Rockakillenbod.com. This program consists of over 100 video lessons on the foundational principles of nutrition, exercise, mindset, and lifestyle choices learned throughout my 30 plus years of personal and professional experience.
